bringing back "GPOY"
Does anyone remember when people said "GPOY" instead of selfie? I first saw it way back in the day on Tumblr; a quick search pulled up this nostalgia fest of a Tumblr theme which conveniently included a definition of GPOY (also, I won't lie, I scrolled through that theme for a bit looking at the collection of OG viral Tumblr posts and instantly felt like I was 13 again).
GPOY: Gratuitous Picture Of Yourself; usually accompanied by a picture of yourself or something that you do. It was a very common reply and tag on Tumblr in the early 2010s.
Anyway, I want to bring this back. I don't know why, but GPOY feels better than just tagging stuff with "selfie" or something. So I made a #GPOY tag.
