I'm in my crossword era
I've been a big fan of puzzle books since I picked up a variety puzzle book from Walmart a couple Easters ago. I started ordering specific puzzles from Penny Dell, which gave me access to their website perks like daily puzzles.
I've played so many word games now that I'm starting to get into crosswords which I never used to enjoy. I just downloaded a PDF and streamed writing on it over Discord with my wife, who helped me fill it in. It was really fun!
Here's the finished puzzle... You can see where my brain started giving up and I just doodled to vent my frustrations haha.
I've never seen "emends" before, but I guess that's a real word. Some of the answers are always a stretch to be fair.
We filled everything out besides 33-across, which was "pars". We looked a couple things up that we would've had no hope of knowing like 30-down (Mr. Ed??).
Moving forward, I think I'll buy the PDF packets from the website. Saves paper, don't have to wait on the mail, and I can do them with my wife over Discord. I think this is a really fun and cute LDR activity that most people probably wouldn't think to try out. I highly recommend it!
