I've got my kitty, Marley, on my lap right now as I type. Whenever it gets past 1:00AM she comes to fetch me for bedtime.
She's sleepy. Whenever she's sleepy, she purrs a lot. Sometimes when she purrs she chirps or sighs. I always say she's "hoot-hooting" like an owl. I just pressed my ear to her little head and listened, and realized that she sort of sounds like a cricket, too. I love her so much!
