Put up a bird feeder
My wife and I just put up a bird feeder in the yard of our new rental home. We've sat side-by-side in front of the kitchen windows for half an hour or so—my wife with her camera in hand, me on my laptop faffing around on my blog.
So far we've seen a couple cardinals (my wife is English, and pronounced cardinal how I imagine Matt Berry would—"car-din-AHL"—but with decidedly less flourish and pizzazz) and some other little indiscriminate guys.
My wife's just went to sit in the backyard. I feel a little bad about remaining inside. But I think it's just a difference in how we like to unwind and decompress. That being said, I think I'll join her outside and finish my morning tea in the fresh air.
