thumb update
I sliced my thumb last night while cutting pizza with a bread knife. Luckily I have a mini first aid kit on hand with gauze, triple antibiotic ointment, and self-adhesive tape, so I was well prepared.
Today I soaked my thumb and unwrapped it thinking I could just slap on a plain old bandaid. It started bleeding again so I dressed it up once more. It's too shallow to need stitches, but deep enough to be a pain in the ass.
I've never had my own kitchen before, so I haven't really cooked much or used proper kitchen knives. I figured I'd injure myself one of these days. Didn't think it would happen over a slice of pizza though, lol. (Don't worry, I've added a pizza cutter to my shopping list.)
